APPENDIX B:

MANUFACTURER'S INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
AURA WHOLE HOUSE VENTILATION SYSTEM WITH NATURAL LIGHT

The following items need to be performed for the proper installation of the Aura Whole House Ventilation System with Natural Light. It is not necessary or required that the order be followed as printed. You can decide what it the best sequence for your particular plant.

1. Foam the lower ring and flex-duct assembly to the attic side of the ceiling.

2. Reach inside the flex-duct and cut the ceiling board out using the lower ring as a guide.

3. Cut a hole approx. 10-1/2" in diameter in the decking directly above the previously installed lower ring and flex-duet assembly.

4. Reach down and obtain the upper end of the flex-duct and insert it in the upper ring. The raised part of the upper ring should be upward.

5. Pull the flex-duct taught and cut off the excess duct. The flex-duct will hold onto the upper ring without fastening.

6. Foam the upper ring to the decking making sure no inside air can get into the attic.

7. Install the Aura Vent with clear lid over the upper ring and flex-duct assembly in the following manner.

A. Apply sealant to under side of the flange.

B. Place over the upper ring and flex-duct assembly.

C. Fasten to the decking using 12 #8 x 3/4" screws 6" on center.

8. Install the adjustable ceiling vent by inserting into the lower ring and flex-duct assembly.

9. Screw the ceiling vent ring through the ceiling into the lower ring using the holes provided in the ceiling vent ring.

10. To adjust the ceiling vent insert fingertips into the ridge at the lower end of the ceiling vent and pull down for more ventilation or push up for less.
